The Modular Bench

What you see here is a bench, or is it a table, a display or what? During my final year at Konstfack I designed and produced this modular piece of furniture.

I just called it “THE HOARD MODULAR BENCH” . My original thought was to make sort of a puzzle that could be used in multiple ways. During my examination I used it both as a display and a place to encounter by passers for a chat about my work. it was possible to sit down at the bench look at my pieces and talk to me. This bench consists of two parts, one part is the one you see at sort side and the other part is the rectangular board. in this configuration there are four parts of the first an one of the second. i used a bluetooth player for sound and learned that the boxlike design made for an excellent speaker/container.
